ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF COUNTRY

We deeply respect the important role First Nations artists and communities play in shaping Australia’s cultural and creative landscape. Wollombi means “meeting place of the waters” and the festival takes place on the traditional lands of the Awabakal people to the East, the Wannaruah people to the Northwest, and the Darkinjung people to the South.

Wollombi was, and continues to be, an important meeting place for Aboriginal people. We are privileged to hold the event in this beautiful valley and thank the Traditional Custodians for caring for Country for thousands of years.
